Final Test: Computer Applications, Period 2
I would like to take a bicycle ride and I need your help to plan it.
When: Spring Break which gives me at least five days to ride. Where: Anywhere in Oregon State. I can probably ride 75 miles a day. Hills and wind? If I ride downhill, I'm happy. Long climbs mean low gear and low grade. Uphill I go about 4 miles per hour, downhill I am comfortable at 20 to 30 miles per hour. On the flat I go between 11 and 15 miles per hour. Meals: I plan to carry a pack but would like to purchase meals if possible. Lodging: I like to camp, but don't want to carry extra weight. Also, I need a shoulder along side the road to ride on. Keep me off gravel roads and freeways. I don't like lots of traffic. I really like places with actual bike lanes like Olympia in Washington State. Route can be a loop or I can get someone to pick me up. Rain: In the event of rain the ride will be rescheduled. Paper format.
Open a Word document. Put your name at the top. Map: you will need to show me a route on a map. Daily Schedule: You will need to describe what I will be doing each day, including where I am, where I will eat, what I will see, where I am going, and where I will stay. I would like one restaurant a day (minimum) with a picture. I would also like to know the room cost (approximate) at the place you pick for me to stay. Be sure to include pictures so I can see Monday 6:00 Wake up and check out of motel. 7:00 Eat at 8:00 Start riding north on highway 16 9:00 Continue to ride 10:00 Continue to ride 11:00 Take a tour of 12:00 Ride from ......to .... 1:00 Lunch at McDonald's in 2:00 Ride from ... to .... 5:00 Sight seeing at 6:00 Check into 7:00 Eat Dinner at etc. |
