          So what does a Myers-Briggs Personality Test mean when applied to me?

 I test out consistently to be INTJ which translates: I am introverted.

That doesn't mean I'm totally shy.... it does mean I need private time to draw energy from my thoughts.
 I tend to focus, to sweat the details, and I am an idea person....I translate concepts to give them clarity and a foundation;
I transform them to  concrete, I root them in the practical. Although perfectionism bites me I am able to see beyond what is ideal, to what is necessary to get the job done... to bring a project to closure.

These are skills I developed as a design-build contractor and which come to focus each day in the classroom.

One of our CCFE projects is to create a digital portrait: what we believe about people, what outcomes we hope for, what activities we enjoy and what skills we have developed in pursuing those activities. Below is me doing the assignment.

What's new for 2015?

 Architecture & Interior Design
We have been learning to use a 3D printer in class. The printer is awesome in terms of potential. It is like having a child you believe in and then have to work hard to provide guides and hints to get results. The printer has proven to require a lot of attention and to get decent results you have to program specific instructions using Java Script to get what you want. In sum, it is more a process than a product and teaches us that working through model failures is how engineering really works.
In Computer Applications we have an articulation agreement with PC3Connect.org to provide an opportunity for dual credit for any student taking the course. The dual credit will involve mastery of Excel and my declaration that the student has demonstrated the agreed upon skills.

In addition students explore many other software applications.
In Media  we will focus on both animation with Flash CS6 and Video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. Our concentration is on the field of motion graphics which focuses on using computer technology to create and edit movement on screen.
In English 9   (using Springboard curriculum) I will be returning to English instruction.  I started as an English Teacher in 1965 and am returning. I have really enjoyed having the students create their own websites where they blog weekly. We also follow the Springboard Curriculum with the book available on line. To read an assignment on a student site is akin to beach combing; you find all sorts of gems since students utilize digital tools like text, font, color, graphics, links to video, etc. This has given writing a whole new set of dimensions.
